Each kit comes packaged in a durable plastic case and includes genuine TE Connectivity/Deutsch components*, with over 350 pieces to support a wide range of applications. Simply add a crimp tool and you’re ready to get started. Please refer to the Tooling section below for recommended crimpers.
This kit also includes select 2-way and 4-way DTP connector kits with a shrink-boot lip on the plug side only, making them compatible with ProwireUSA RBT rubber boots. The 2-way shrink-boot-compatible connectors correspond to RBT-DTP2, and the 4-way shrink-boot-compatible connectors correspond to RBT-DTP4, providing a clean, sealed transition when used with molded rubber boots.
Shrink-boot lips are not available on the receptacle side, as TE Connectivity/Deutsch does not manufacture a DTP receptacle with a shrink-boot lip.
DTP series connectors and contacts are designed for size 12 contacts and tooling and are not cross-compatible with DT or DTM series connectors. Size 12 contacts are rated for 25 amps continuous. Contacts with part numbers ending in “-10” accept wire sizes up to 10 AWG while maintaining the same 25-amp current rating.
Recommended crimp tools
- HDT-48-00 cannot be used with -10 contacts
- 18860 works with both contacts, the -10 contacts will require a slight collar adjustment on the back of the tool prior to use.
